libiptcdata-bin software package provides Library to parse IPTC metadata (programs), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libiptcdata-bin
libiptcdata-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libiptcdata-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libiptcdata-bin *
You will get with libiptcdata-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
